Cheryl C. Kagan was born on April 8, 1959. She currently represents District 17 in the Maryland State Senate. Kagan earned a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University in 1981 and later earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University in 2003. Kagan has served as a Member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 1995-2003 representing District 17. She was then elected to the Maryland State Senate in 2018 to continue to represent District 17, where she currently serves on several committees including Education, Health and Environmental Affairs; and Joint Committee on Children, Youth, and Families.read less
