Cheryl K. Acton is a Republican member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 38. She was appointed to the seat on September 18, 2017, and has won re-election in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024.
Cheryl K. Acton is an American politician and writer born and raised in Kansas. She moved to Arizona for her senior year of high school and later lived in northern Denmark. Acton ran for office emphasizing freedom, civility, and the worth and dignity of individuals. In the legislature, she has passed bills protecting the rights of consumers, people with disabilities, HOA residents, parents, and the unborn. She currently serves as Chair of the Retirement and Independent Entities Committee , Vice Chair of the House Health and Human Services Committee, and a member of the House Judiciary Committee, Executive Offices & Criminal Justice Appropriations, Child Welfare Legislative Oversight Panel, and Utah Compact Commission .
