Biography
Charles K. Scott is a Republican state senator representing District 30 in the Wyoming State Senate, where he has served since 1983, making him the longest-serving member of the Wyoming Legislature. Born on August 19, 1945, at a USMC base near Klamath Falls, Oregon, he resides in Casper, Wyoming, as a cattle rancher. He previously served in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 1979 to 1982 and as Vice President of the Wyoming State Senate from 1993 to 1994. Notable achievements include sponsoring the Hathaway Scholarship law, providing reduced or free college tuition for high-performing Wyoming students, and leadership roles such as Chair/Vice Chair of the National Conference of State Legislatures Health Committee.
