Biography
Representative Charles Postles
Charles S. Postles Jr. was born and raised in Kent County, Delaware. Prior to his legislative service, he worked as a farmer for over three decades. His professional background includes serving as the National Future Farmers of America vice president in 1970. He has also been a member of the Delmarva Poultry Industry Board of Directors and the Governor's Council of Farm Organizations, and he served as chairman of the Grower Committee.
Education
Postles graduated from Milford High School and the University of Delaware.
Political Experience
A member of the Republican Party, Postles serves in the Delaware House of Representatives representing District 33. He assumed office on November 9, 2016, and his current term ends on November 3, 2026. He won re-election in the general election on November 5, 2024, having previously won election on November 8, 2022. In 2024, he advanced from the Republican primary after the primary election was canceled.
During his tenure, Postles has held various committee assignments. For the 2025-2026 legislative session, he is assigned to the House Agriculture Committee, Appropriations Committee, Health & Human Development Committee, Joint Finance Committee, House Judiciary Committee, Natural Resources and Energy Committee, and House Veterans Affairs Committee. Previous committee assignments during earlier legislative sessions included the House Education Committee and House Energy Committee.
