Biography
Chad Johnson is a Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 22 since his election in 2024. Born Owen Chad Johnson on November 9, 1970, in Gainesville, Florida, he is a sixth-generation Floridian raised in Alachua County with family ties to Gilchrist and Marion counties. A resident of Chiefland in Levy County since 1994, he works as an agriculture sales professional and auctioneer. He is married to Angela Quincey Johnson and has four children: Tyler, Quin, Bryden, and Maddilyn Johnson Carlton. Notable achievements include serving as a Levy County Commissioner for six years, past president of the Levy County Farm Bureau and Florida Auctioneers Association, and director of the Dixie-Gilchrist-Levy Board of REALTORS; his campaign emphasized agriculture, inflation, insurance, and immigration. He is affiliated with Ducks Unlimited, Florida Cattlemen's Association, and Florida Blue Key, and advocates for free markets, limited government, and protection of agriculture and natural resources.
