Biography
Chad Michael Boyer
Chad Michael Boyer is a Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives representing District 46, which includes portions of St. Landry and St. Martin parishes. He assumed office on January 8, 2024, after winning his election unopposed in 2023. Boyer serves as Director of Safety at Coburn Supply Company Inc. His district includes the city of Breaux Bridge, where he maintains his primary residence.
Education
Boyer graduated from St. Martinville High School.
Political Experience
Boyer's legislative focus includes membership on several key committees within the House, including the Administration of Criminal Justice Committee, Agriculture, Forestry, Aquaculture, and Rural Development Committee, and Transportation, Highways and Public Works Committee. He also serves on the Atchafalaya Basin Program Oversight Committee and Capitol Security Council.
At the delegation level, Boyer holds the position of Vice Chair of the Acadiana Delegation and participates in the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation and Louisiana Rural Caucus.
Among his notable positions, Boyer has pledged his support for term limits on Congress by signing the Term Limits Convention Pledge. He has also announced his support for term limits more broadly. During the 2024 legislative session, Boyer voted in favor of House Bill 288 regarding immunization records on infant autopsy reports. He is eligible to serve through the 2032 term.
