Cedric Burnett is a Democratic member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, serving District 9 , which includes parts of Tunica, Quitman, Tate, and Coahoma counties. Born on February 24, 1966, in Sardis, Mississippi, he works as a funeral director at Henderson Funeral Home, with 34 years of experience. He is married to Tishia Burnett and is a member of Lane Chapel C.M.E. Church. Burnett serves on the North Delta Planning and Development District board, is a member of The Delta Council, and previously served on the Tunica County Board of Supervisors.
