Biography

Ceci Maher is a Democratic State Senator representing Connecticut's 26th District, which includes Darien, New Canaan, Redding, Ridgefield, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton. She has served since 2023, with her term ending in 2027, and currently holds the position of Deputy President Pro Tempore. A Wilton resident who grew up in Stamford, Maher is a licensed social worker, former fashion marketing executive, and nonprofit leader known for expanding services for underserved communities, including growing Person-to-Person from serving 15,000 to 25,000 people annually and leading Sandy Hook Promise as interim executive director to support gun violence prevention.
