Cathi Forbes is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 43B . Appointed in October 2019 by Governor Larry Hogan to succeed Delegate Stephen Lafferty in then-District 42A, she was elected to a full term in 2022 for District 43B. A longtime community leader and education advocate, she is married with two grown children and resides in Towson. Notable achievements include a 100% lifetime voting record with the Maryland League of Conservation Voters, Honorary Lifetime Membership Award from the Maryland PTA , and Outstanding Volunteer Award from Rodgers Forge Elementary School . She founded the Coalition for Open Government to oppose jail expansion and has served on boards like Children's Playhouse of Maryland .
