Biography
Senator Cassie Chambers Armstrong
Cassie Chambers Armstrong was born on September 30, 1986, in Berea, Kentucky. She is a member of the Democratic Party and represents District 19 in the Kentucky State Senate, a position she has held since March 2, 2023. Armstrong won a special election on February 21, 2023, garnering 76.9% of the votes cast to fill the state Senate vacancy left by U.S. Representative Morgan McGarvey.
Prior to her state Senate service, Armstrong was a member of the Louisville Metro Council, serving from January 1, 2021, until her election to the state Senate. Beyond her legislative work, she serves as an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where her research focuses on rural access to justice.

Political Experience
