Biography
Casey Toof
Casey Toof is a Republican politician from Vermont who was born and raised in St. Albans City. He currently resides on Clyde Allen Drive in St. Albans Town with his two sons, Callan and Lukas. Toof is married to Ashley, who works as a Public Works Engineer for the City of Burlington Public Works Department.
Beyond his legislative work, Toof owns Toof Consulting, a consulting firm specializing in social media and email marketing. He has been actively involved in his community through coaching—he assisted with the varsity boys' basketball program at Bellows Free Academy from 2011 to 2016 and coached various youth programs throughout Franklin County. Toof is also a member of the Sons of the American Legion and served as Chair of the St. Albans Town Planning Commission.
Education
Toof attended St. Albans City Elementary School and Bellows Free Academy before pursuing higher education at Castleton University in Castleton, Vermont. He earned a degree in History and Education. While at Castleton, he was deeply involved in student government for three years and served as Chief Justice of the College Court.
Political Experience
Toof was elected to the Vermont House of Representatives in 2019, initially representing the Franklin-3-1 district, which covers St. Albans City and St. Albans Town. He succeeded Corey Parent in this seat. In 2022, he was elected to represent the Franklin-8 district.
During his tenure in the legislature, Toof served on the House Education Committee, where he focused on education policy issues at the state level. He was also a former Co-Chair of the Vermont Future Caucus, a network of younger Republican leaders.
Toof resigned from his position on January 16, 2026.
