Carrie Woerner is a Democrat representing New York's 113th Assembly District, which includes portions of Saratoga, Warren, and Washington Counties. She was first elected in November 2014, defeating Republican Steve Stallmer by a 52% to 48% margin after an unsuccessful run in 2012, and is now serving her sixth term. Woerner has passed 85 bills since 2015, with 65 signed into law, making her one of the most productive legislators in the New York State Assembly. She advocates for responsible spending, small businesses, farms, public schools, and preserving local heritage. Education and Political Experience

Woerner earned an undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Santa Clara University. Before entering politics, she had a 30-year career in software and technical writing at firms like IBM and Dell/Perot Systems. In 2008, as vice president and general manager of MeetMax Conference Software , she established a division in Saratoga Springs, creating jobs in Saratoga County. She was seated in the Assembly on January 1, 2015.
