Biography

Carrie Ann Buck is a Republican Nevada State Senator representing District 5 in Clark County. Born on July 19, 1971, she grew up on a small farm, working soybean fields and selling sweet corn door-to-door, instilling values of hard work and self-reliance. As a conservative fighter and educator, she has transformed low-performing schools, led the Pinecrest Academy charter school network as president of the Pinecrest Foundation, and advocates for Nevada families, school choice, and restoring the American Dream. Notable achievements include flipping her state Senate seat red in 2020 by a five-percentage point swing and widening the margin to seven points in 2024 despite it being a Democratic stronghold; she currently serves on the Senate Committee on Finance. In 2025, she ran a grassroots congressional campaign for Nevada's District 1, outraising the Democratic incumbent without self-funding.

  • Political Experience: Elected to the Nevada State Senate for District 5 in 2020, assuming office that year; known for her "truly grassroots" approach, with strong fundraising from thousands of small donors.
