Senator Carri Hicks ** represents **District 40 in the Oklahoma State Senate, where she has served since 2018. A lifelong Oklahoman born in Oklahoma and residing in Oklahoma City, she is a mother of three children—Camilla, Holli, and Sawyer—with her husband Spencer, married in 2011. The daughter of a public school teacher, Hicks has built a career in education, nonprofits, and public service, including roles as CEO of Rainbow Fleet Child Care Resource & Referral since 2021 and as a teacher in Putnam City and Deer Creek school districts from 2011 to 2018. Notable achievements include serving as Democratic Whip since 2021, being named a Gaylord-McCasland Education Fellow in 2019 by the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, and participating in the Emerging Leaders International Exchange Program.
