Biography
Carolyn Eslick is a Republican state representative for Washington's 39th Legislative District , which includes East Snohomish County and East Skagit County, encompassing areas from Sultan to Darrington and the city of Lake Stevens. A resident of Sultan, she was initially appointed to the role and elected in 2018. Prior to state service, she owned a restaurant for over 20 years, founded GroWashington , served as a Sultan city council member, and was mayor for more than nine years. She lives with her husband, Chuck Donaldson , and they have six children and eight grandchildren.
Notable achievements and positions include Ranking Minority Member on the Legislative-Executive WorkFirst Poverty Reduction Oversight Task Force, advocacy for mental health, housing, public safety, substance abuse prevention, child care, and early learning, and service on the Washington State Task Force Against Trafficking. Awards: 2020 Champion for Children Award ; 2019 and 2023 Behavioral Health Champion .
