Biography
Caroline Fairly is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives representing District 87, which includes parts of Amarillo and counties such as Carson, Hansford, Hutchinson, Lipscomb, Moore, Ochiltree, Potter, and Sherman. Born in 1999, she is the youngest female Republican elected to the Texas House, first elected in 2025 at age 26, with her seat up for election in 2026. Raised in Amarillo with four siblings, Fairly's conservative values are rooted in faith, family, and service; her father, Alex Fairly, is a prominent local businessman who donated significantly to her campaign. Notable achievements include serving as Class President at university, working on U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson's campaign and in his office, and announcing support for Dustin Burrows as Speaker on the first day of the 89th Legislative Session. She serves on the Appropriations, Local & Consent Calendars, and Natural Resources committees.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Business Marketing; served as Class President and led ventures in the business school’s entrepreneurship program, Wildcat Ventures.
- Professional Experience: Worked as a medical negotiator and trainer at The OccuNet Company, focusing on affordable medical treatment and complex negotiations; volunteer work includes Hope Choice Pregnancy Center, mentoring at West Texas A&M University's 1330 Campus Ministry, and church activities.
- Political Experience: Staffed for Republican U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson in Washington, D.C., before returning to Amarillo; elected to Texas House District 87 in 2025 as a Republican contractor from Amarillo.
