Biography

Carol Glanville is a Democratic State Representative for Michigan's 84th House District, which includes Walker, Grandville, the Westside, and parts of Northeast Grand Rapids in Kent County. Born on November 9, 1970, in Grand Rapids, she is a lifelong West Michigan resident, married to Adam Glanville, with stepsons Mason and Max. She works as a program manager and instructional designer at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University. Elected in a 2022 special election to flip a Republican stronghold , she won full terms in 2022 and 2024, securing over $75 million in state investments for her district. In September 2025, she announced her candidacy for Michigan's 30th Senate District in 2026. Notable positions include Minority Vice Chair of the School Aid & Department of Education Appropriations Subcommittee, and past Chair of the Higher Education Committee.
