Carol Blood is a nonpartisan Nebraska state senator who represented District 3 in the Nebraska Legislature from 2017 to 2025. A Nebraska native raised on a farm in Adams County, she has deep roots in Sarpy County, where she raised her family with her husband Joe ; they have three children and seven to ten grandchildren, plus two Corgi dogs. She is Catholic and known for extensive community service, including roles as Executive Director of the La Vista Area Chamber of Commerce , owner of Blood Business Consulting , and current Executive Director of a nonprofit focused on urban agriculture for equitable food systems and community building. Notable achievements include serving on the Bellevue City Council , chairing initiatives like the White Ribbon Campaign, Bellevue Police Citizens Advisory Council, and Nebraska Veterans Day Parade, and prioritizing safer neighborhoods, stronger schools, business growth, and tax relief. She ran for U.S. House , Governor , and campaigned for OPPD.
