Carla Schuessler is a Republican representing District 61 in the South Carolina House of Representatives. Born September 18, 1972, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she is the daughter of the late Carl W. Weaver and Elizabeth C. Kuchar. A longtime Myrtle Beach resident since 1997, she serves as Director of Business Development and Administration for G3 Engineering & Surveying LLC. She has two children, Jack R. and Nathan R., and is a member of Wellspring Church, where she led the youth group from 2016 to 2023. Notable community roles include Leadership Grand Strand and Board of Regents , President of the Association of Habitat Affiliates Board of Directors , Chair of the Myrtle Beach Work Force Housing Task Force , and Grand Strand Water & Sewer Citizens Advisory Committee . She serves on the House Labor, Commerce and Industry Committee.
