Biography
Cameron Sexton is a Republican representing Tennessee's 25th House District, which includes Cumberland and Van Buren Counties, as well as the City of Monterey in Putnam County. He was elected as the 83rd Speaker of the Tennessee House of Representatives in August 2019, succeeding Glen Casada after a House GOP caucus vote. Notable positions include serving as Republican Caucus Chair from 2018 to 2019.
Education and Political Experience
Sexton first joined the Tennessee House of Representatives in 2010 and has served continuously since 2011 in District 25. His political career highlights include rising through GOP leadership to become House Speaker, where he has focused on key legislative priorities as a Crossville Republican.
