Biography
Cam Cavitt is a Republican representing Michigan's 106th House District, which includes the Northern Michigan counties of Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, Presque Isle, and portions of Oscoda and Cheboygan. First elected in November 2022, he was reelected in November 2024 and serves in the 103rd Legislature . Notable positions include membership on the House Appropriations Committee, chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy , and vice chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Military and Veteran Affairs. He previously served as Cheboygan County Drain Commissioner, Northern Michigan Chairman for the Michigan Association of County Drain Commissioners, and board member for the Cheboygan County Salvation Army, Cheboygan County Historical Society, and Indian River Chamber of Commerce. In 2020, he was a delegate to the Republican National Convention, endorsed by then-President Trump’s campaign and Congressman Jack Bergman. Cavitt is a realtor for over 20 years at Exit Realty Premier, owns a small business, and lives in Cheboygan with his wife Lynn and children Caleb, Skyler, and Emma.

Education: Associate degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College ; attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.
