Biography
Caleb Rudow is a Democratic politician from Buncombe County, North Carolina, who served in the North Carolina House of Representatives for the 114th district ** and *116th district * from February 1, 2022, to January 1, 2025, succeeding Susan Fisher and succeeded by Brian Turner. A Buncombe County native, he worked as a program assistant and data analyst at Open Data Watch from 2018 to July 2021, and as a COVID-19 case investigator for Community Care of North Carolina in 2021. He served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia and a researcher in Honduras. In 2023, Rudow ran for U.S. House in **North Carolina's 11th congressional district, winning the Democratic primary unopposed but losing to incumbent Chuck Edwards in the 2024 general election with 43.23% of the vote. Notable positions include co-sponsoring bills to ban PFAS products, reinstate the Child Tax Credit, create child care pilot programs via public-private partnerships, and provide $300 million in stabilization grants to child care centers.
