Biography
Christopher "C.D." Davidsmeyer is a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives representing the 100th District, which includes all or parts of Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Morgan, Pike, and Scott counties. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Illinois, he attended Jacksonville High School and resides in Murrayville with his wife Kristen and two sons. Notable positions include Assistant Minority Leader, Republican Spokesperson on the Public Utilities Committee, and Co-Chairman of the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: B.A. in Political Science from Miami University of Ohio.
- Early Career: Worked as a Legislative Assistant to Congressman John Shimkus in Washington, D.C.; Operations Manager and later Vice President of IRC Inc. in Jacksonville.
- *Local Service *: Jacksonville City Council member, chairing Public Protection and Finance committees; officer in local Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, and Library Board.
