Burt Whaley is a Republican representative for Missouri House District 138, covering Stone and Christian Counties. Elected to his first two-year term in November 2024, he is a United States Army veteran with 20 years of active duty and reserve service, a lifelong educator, and a dedicated community servant. A native Missourian and devoted Christian, he has participated in local and international missions for over 40 years, including church and home-building projects in nine countries. He is married to Leah, with four children—Ashley, Sarah, Rebekah, and Jacob—and twelve grandchildren. Whaley remains active in his local church, the Stone County Republican Central Committee, Veterans of the Ozarks, and as co-founder of the Stone County Missouri Republican Assembly.

Political Experience

• Served 28 years in education as a biology teacher, administrator, and principal; also on the school board advocating for students and parents.
• Youth involvement includes Fellowship of Christian Athletes sponsor, community action group member, local youth center board member, and coach for high school athletics and youth leagues.
• Elected Missouri House Representative for District 138 in 2024.
