Charles "Bud" Hulsey is a Republican representing Tennessee House District 2 . Born on May 30, 1949, in Kingsport, Tennessee, he is a retired police lieutenant from the Kingsport Police Department , owner and president of Burlington Logistics, Inc. , and a Christian with three children. Notable achievements include serving as Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee, membership in committees such as Agriculture & Natural Resources, Finance, Ways & Means, and Private Acts, and sponsorship of a 2023 bill to expel Democratic state representatives Justin Jones, Justin Pearson, and Gloria Johnson. He has emphasized conservative principles of limited government, fiscal restraint, and local accountability throughout his tenure.
