Lester E. "Bubba" Carpenter is a Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 1 since 2008. A paramedic by profession, he serves as President of the Burnsville Area Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians and the Tishomingo County Economic Development Board. He is married to Niesha Carpenter, with one son, Noah, and is affiliated with the Methodist faith.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Graduated from Burnsville High School; attended Northeast Mississippi Community College; completed paramedic training at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Alabama.
• Military Service: Veteran of the 155th Armored Brigade, Mississippi Army National Guard, with deployment in Operation Desert Storm .
• Political Roles: Vice Chairman of the House Interstate Cooperation Committee; serves on Banking and Financial Services, Corrections, County Affairs, Medicaid, Municipalities, and Tourism committees.
