Biography
Bryan W. Simonaire is a Republican Maryland State Senator representing District 31 in Anne Arundel County. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on September 6, 1963, he is the first Republican elected from District 31, serving since January 10, 2007. He served as Minority Leader from 2020-2022 and currently sits on the Education, Energy, and the Environment Committee , Joint Committee on the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays Critical Areas, and Joint Audit and Evaluation Committee. Notable achievements include founding Heroes-at-Home in 2002 to support veterans, creating the Simonaire Santas for Abused Children program, and receiving the Outstanding Legislator of the Year award for veteran advocacy. He is married with seven children.
