Hugh "Bruce" Williamson III is a Republican representing Georgia House District 112 , where he has served since his election in 2010. A lifelong Walton County resident born on April 17, 1954, he currently holds the position of House Majority Caucus Chairman and previously served in that role for eight years while also acting as Majority Caucus Secretary/Treasurer from 2017-2023. Previously, he represented District 115 from 2011-2023 before redistricting.

Notable achievements include twice receiving the Technology Association of Georgia’s Legislator of the Year award, Georgia Chamber Legislator of the Year, and the National Federation of Independent Business Guardian of Small Business Award. As Chairman of the Income Tax Subcommittee of Ways & Means, he helped enact Georgia's flat income tax and focuses on tax policy, business/job development, and keeping small businesses competitive. He founded and chairs Liberty First Bank since 2006 and has earned the Leadership Georgia Frederick B. Kerr Award and Rotary Club of Monroe J.T. Witcher Community Service Award for civic involvement with groups like Boy Scouts of America, Rotary Club, and Walton County Chamber of Commerce.

An active member of Monroe First Methodist Church, where he taught Youth Sunday School for over a decade, Williamson is a committed family man.
