Biography
Bruce Wyche Bannister is a Republican representative for District 24 in Greenville County, South Carolina. A partner at Bannister, Wyatt, & Stalvey, LLC, specializing in family law, eminent domain, and real estate, he was elected to the South Carolina House in a 2005 special election to replace House Speaker David Wilkins. Notable achievements include serving as House Majority Leader , Assistant Majority Leader , and current Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, which oversees the state's budget, taxing, and spending. He also chairs the South Carolina Bar Lawyer Legislator task force and received the 2011 Children’s Hospital Legislative Advocacy Award.
