Biography
Brooks Frederick Landgraf is a Republican attorney, rancher, and state representative serving Texas House District 81, which includes Andrews, Ector, Loving, Ward, and Winkler counties, encompassing cities like Odessa, Monahans, and Kermit. A fifth-generation West Texan and Odessa native, he graduated from Permian High School and is a proud Eagle Scout. Landgraf has represented District 81 since his election in November 2014, assuming office in 2015. He is known for advocating conservative policies, including improvements to highways and schools, repealing regulations harming the Permian Basin oil and gas industry, and protecting local businesses in energy and healthcare. Notable achievements include being named Volunteer of the Year by Legal Aid for pro bono work, recognition in the inaugural "Odessa Under 40" class in 2017, and praise from Governor Greg Abbott as a "proven conservative leader."
