Biography
Brooke Green is a Democratic Idaho State Representative for District 18B. She won the 2024 primary and general elections unopposed, securing her position with 1,527 votes in the primary and 16,800 in the general. A Senior Transportation Planner at the Ada County Highway District , she oversees project development, including concept development, scoping, and previously supported bike and pedestrian planning. Married to Jeremy Byington, an Ada County Sheriff’s Deputy and U.S. Army veteran who served in Iraq, she has strong personal ties to District 18, where she spent childhood summers. Her work emphasizes economic development, public safety, accessible transportation, and addressing gaps in health insurance coverage, informed by her experience with breast cancer screening.
Notable achievements include Idaho Business Review’s 40 Under 40 , Woman of the Year , and Southwest Idaho Chapter of Women in Transportation Woman of the Year . She serves on key committees and councils: Joint Appropriations Finance Committee, Business and Local Government Committee, Legislative Council, Idaho Behavioral Health Council, Governor’s Cybersecurity Task Force, and Tobacco Millennium Fund; previously on the Idaho Hispanic Council and Idaho Insurance Fund.
