Biography
Brock Colvin is a Republican representative for Alabama House District 26, covering southern Marshall County including Albertville, Boaz, Douglas, and Guntersville. Elected on November 8, 2022, he became the youngest member of the Alabama Legislature at age 27. A fifth-generation Marshall Countian born in 1995 in Albertville, Colvin works as a licensed financial advisor at Ameriprise Financial and previously as an insurance agent. He campaigned on fiscal responsibility, supporting farmers, improving education, expanding rural broadband, and upholding traditional values. Notable achievements include serving on the Ways and Means Education, Commerce and Small Business, and Insurance Committees, and his 2025 appointment as House Majority Whip as a freshman legislator. His current term expires in 2026.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Albertville High School , Snead State Community College , and the University of Alabama with degrees in Economics and Finance, plus studies in Risk Management and Political Science. Pitched baseball at Albertville High and Snead State.
- Political Experience: Interned in the Alabama State Senate during the 2018 Regular Session. Won the 2022 GOP primary and general election with 88% of the vote, succeeding Rep. Kerry Rich. Actively involved in community organizations including Albertville Rotary Club, Albertville and Boaz Chambers of Commerce , and First Baptist Church in Albertville. Consistently votes for conservative policies, opposing tax increases.
