Biography
Bridget Malloy Kosierowski is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, serving the 114th District in Lackawanna County since winning a special election in March 2019. She is the first woman from Lackawanna County to represent the district in over 50 years and the only registered nurse currently serving in the House.
Born on March 31, 1972, in Philadelphia and raised in Clarks Summit, Kosierowski is a lifelong Pennsylvanian and mother of a leukemia survivor. A registered nurse with over 25 years of experience, she worked at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Northeast Surgery Center , focusing on patient care and health challenges. Her legislative priorities include expanding health care access, protecting pre-existing conditions, preserving the Children's Health Insurance Program, addressing property taxes, and supporting natural gas extraction taxes. Notable achievements include securing over $215 million for district infrastructure and community projects, providing 20,000+ constituent services, winning re-election in 2022 by 7+ points in a competitive Trump-won district, and bipartisan committee service on Appropriations, Health, Insurance, and Professional Licensure. She serves on the Drug Recovery Study Task Force , COVID-19 Vaccine Joint Task Force , and as Deputy Whip .
