Biography

Brianna Titone is a Democratic State Representative for Colorado House District 27 , serving her third term since her historic 2018 election as Colorado's first openly transgender elected official. She flipped a Republican stronghold through grassroots efforts focused on economic fairness, consumer protections, and fiscal policy, and has become the first transgender person in the U.S. elected to a peer-elected leadership position. Currently running for Colorado State Treasurer, she chairs the House Joint Technology Committee, serves as vice chair of the House Finance Committee and on the Appropriations Committee, and holds roles as Co-Chair of the House Majority Caucus and Chair of the Colorado Democratic LGBTQ+ Caucus.

Education and Political Experience

Titone holds a physics degree from SUNY New Paltz and has an extensive academic and professional background in geochemistry, physics, mathematics, software development, STEM, finance, and consulting as a geologist/software developer. Her notable achievements include championing first-in-nation policies on Right to Repair , AI regulation, price gouging protections, Agricultural Right to Repair , reproductive health care protections, HOA regulations, community revitalization grants/tax credits , a state internet rules portal , and Advanced Industries Tax Credits . She also supports bills like HB25-1005 for Sundance Film Festival incentives and SB25-132 for spirits tasting rooms.
