Biography

Brian E. Rumpf is a Republican Assemblyman representing New Jersey's 9th Legislative District, which includes parts of Ocean County. He has served in the New Jersey General Assembly since 2003. Currently, he holds the position of budget officer since January 2026, previously serving as Republican policy co-chairman from 2014 to 2023 and parliamentarian from 2024 to 2025. He resides in Little Egg Harbor with his wife, with whom he is a law partner at Rumpf, Rumpf and Reid in Tuckerton, and they have two children. Prior to his assembly role, he served as a committeeman in Little Egg Harbor Township from 1997 to 2005, including as mayor from 2000 to 2003.
