Biography
Brian Collamore is a Republican state senator representing the Rutland District in the Vermont Senate. Born on November 28, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, he moved to Vermont in 1968. He resides in Rutland Town with his wife, Christina, and their son, Brian. Collamore has a distinguished career in broadcasting, with over 45 years on the radio and more than 35 years in sales; he currently serves as General Sales Manager for five radio stations at Catamount Radio in Rutland and Middlebury. Notable achievements include induction into the Vermont Principals’ Association Hall of Fame and service on the Marketing Committee of the Rutland County United Way. He holds key leadership positions, such as Chair of the Senate Committee on Government Operations, Co-Chair of the Government Accountability Committee, and Vice Chair of the Joint Public Pension Oversight Committee and Judicial Retention Committee.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Attended elementary school in Michigan; graduated from Jesuit Xavier School in Concord, Massachusetts; earned a BA in Sociology/Anthropology from Middlebury College in 1972.
