Biography
Brian Baldridge
Brian Baldridge is the 40th Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture, appointed by Governor Mike DeWine in February 2023. A lifelong Southern Ohio native, Baldridge is the seventh generation raised on his family farm, which remains operational. He resides in Winchester, Ohio, with his wife Lori of 31 years. Together they have two adult children, Casey and Alyson, and three grandchildren. Baldridge and his family are members of the Bethlehem Church of Christ.
Education
Baldridge attended Southern State Community College and Shawnee State University.

Party Affiliation: Republican
Current Position: Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture
Legislative Service: Baldridge served two terms in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023, representing the 90th House District, which encompasses all of Adams and Scioto counties and the eastern part of Brown County. During his legislative tenure, he served on the House Agriculture Committee and advocated for programs supporting the agricultural industry.
Local Government Service: Prior to his service in the state legislature, Baldridge held several local positions, including Wayne Township Trustee and Adams County Commissioner. He has also worked as a firefighter and paramedic. Additionally, he was elected to serve on the Adams Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors, where he directed and planned conservation efforts within the county.
Advocacy: Throughout his career, Baldridge has been a vocal advocate for the 4-H community and FFA organizations, reflecting his deep commitment to agricultural education and youth development.
