Biography
Brent Taylor is a Republican state senator representing District 31 in the Tennessee Senate, serving since 2023 after winning election in 2022 with over 66% of the vote. Born August 9, 1968, in rural North Mississippi, he moved to Memphis as a funeral director, later building the largest family-owned funeral operation in the Mid-South with his wife Kimberly. A "tough on crime" conservative, he supports measures like SJR0919 to remove bail for major capital crimes and focuses on fighting violent crime and economic growth. He serves on committees including Judiciary, Transportation, Government Operations, and Commerce and Labor . Married nearly 30 years with two adult children, the family resides in Eads and attends Trinity Baptist Church in Cordova.
