Biography
J. Brent Siegrist is a Republican state representative from Council Bluffs, Iowa, currently serving House District 19. He previously represented District 16 after his 2020 election and has a long legislative career spanning over 20 non-consecutive years in the Iowa House of Representatives, including 10 years as Speaker and Majority Leader from 1984 to 2002. Notable achievements include chairing the Administration and Rules Committee, vice-chairing Transportation, and serving on State Government, Ways and Means, and Education Appropriations Subcommittee; he prioritizes education funding, workforce development, broadband access, and tax reduction while maintaining balanced budgets.
