Biography
Brent Hagenbuch
Brent Allison Hagenbuch is a Republican politician and conservative activist from Denton, Texas. He currently serves as a member of the Texas State Senate representing District 30. A committed Christian, business leader, and veteran, Hagenbuch won his 2024 general election with 65.1% of the vote, replacing retiring Senator Drew Springer.
Hagenbuch is the Chairman and Owner of Titus Transport, a leader in transportation services with drivers delivering to approximately 1,500 grocery stores. He also owns Giddy Up Transport, a freight logistics firm. His professional background includes strategy and general management positions at McKinsey & Company and PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division, as well as serving as CEO of CompX.
Before his election to the state senate, Hagenbuch served as Chairman of the Denton County Republican Party beginning in 2021, where he focused on increasing Republican voter engagement and empowering grassroots efforts in the county.
Education
Hagenbuch holds three advanced degrees:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy
- Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Stanford University
- Master of Business Administration from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA
Political Experience and Service
Hagenbuch served as an officer in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps during the first Gulf War era, holding positions including Company Commander in Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 4, Officer in Charge of Construction at Concord Naval Weapons Station, and instructor at the Civil Engineer Officers School.
In the Texas State Senate, he serves on the committees for Criminal Justice, Education K-16, Transportation, Veteran Affairs, and serves as Vice Chair of the Nominations Committee. He is regarded as one of the most conservative senators in Texas and advocates for fiscal conservatism while supporting strategic investments in education and infrastructure.
Hagenbuch's extensive community service includes serving as Board Director of Feed the Children, member of UNT's Logistics Institute Advisory Board, and former President of the North Texas Chapter of K-Life youth ministry.
