Biography
Brandon Woodard is a Democratic representative for Kansas House District 108, covering parts of Lenexa, Olathe, and Overland Park. Elected in 2019, he serves as House Minority Leader and is a leading advocate for human rights, economic justice, higher education affordability, and equitable policies. Notable achievements include serving as House Democratic Leader , former House Democratic Agenda Chair, and Ranking Minority Member on the Higher Education Budget and Elections Committees. He is also Co-Vice Chair of the Kansas Future Caucus and was selected for the Future Caucus Innovation Fellowship in 2024 for civic innovation. Openly gay, he is one of Kansas's first LGBT state legislators. Currently, he works as Development Director for the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City.
