Brandon Shippy is a Republican Idaho State Senator representing Legislative District 9. A Payette County native, he owns and operates Shippy Sprinkler LLC, a small business in New Plymouth. Shippy is active in his community as a church deacon, volunteer with Narrow Path Prison Ministries, and serves as a local precinct committeeman and Payette County Republican Central Committee Youth Chairperson. He and his wife, Rakel, are parents of three children and foster care providers. Appointed by Governor Brad Little in 2024 to fill the District 9 Senate seat vacated by Abby Lee, he won the Republican primary nomination on May 21, 2024, and continues to serve as a principled conservative focused on maintaining Idaho's culture.
