Biography
Brandon C. Potter is a Democratic State Representative for District 16 in Cranston, Rhode Island, encompassing the Garden City, Eden Park, and Stadium neighborhoods. Born on August 6, 1984, and raised in Cranston by a single mother, he attended Cranston West High School. First elected in 2020, he is currently in his third term as of 2025. Prior to politics, he worked nearly a decade in automotive sales. He is pursuing a law degree at Roger Williams University School of Law , with interests in litigation including catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, and products liability.
Potter serves as Second Vice Chair of the House Health and Human Services Committee and is a member of the House Corporations Committee and House Labor Committee.

- Sponsored 2022 legislation requiring prevailing wages on large state-tax-credit construction projects.
- Sponsored $250 million school construction investment, approved by voters in 2022.
