Biography
Brandon Mitchell is a Republican representative serving Idaho House District 6B, which includes Latah, Lewis, and part of Nez Perce Counties. A businessman and owner-operator of Candura Corporation with six stores, he assumed office on December 1, 2020, after winning election in November 2020 , succeeding Bill Goesling; he was re-elected post-2022 redistricting and is in his third term. Raised on a small farm in Syracuse, Utah, with Christian values emphasizing faith, family, and hard work, he has been married to his high school sweetheart Marcie for 34 years; they have three children , and six grandchildren. Notable community service includes leadership in Boy Scouts of America , 12 years as certified therapeutic foster parents, scuba instructor certification, and a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He unsuccessfully ran for Moscow City Council in 2019 and has sponsored or co-sponsored 22 bills, with 20 becoming law, focusing on protecting votes and children.
