Biography

Brandon Achor

Brandon Achor is a Republican politician representing Arkansas House District 71, which encompasses the city of Maumelle and surrounding areas in north-central Pulaski County. Born in 1989, he was raised in Maumelle and remains active in his community through various civic organizations.

Achor is a pharmacist by profession. He and his wife, Kaley, co-own several independent community pharmacies across central and rural eastern Arkansas, having established locally-owned pharmacy care access in 13 communities. His contributions to the pharmacy profession have been recognized with the 2019 Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year Award and the 2025 Pharmacist of the Year Award from the Arkansas Pharmacists Association.

Beyond his legislative work, Achor has served on the board of directors for the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lonoke Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Maumelle Rotary Club. He is married to Kaley, a fellow pharmacist, and they have a daughter and a dog. The family attends Central Hope Church in Little Rock.

Education

Achor graduated from Arkansas Baptist High School before attending the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he studied Biochemistry. During his studies, he spent a semester abroad in Dublin, Ireland, where he discovered his passion for pharmacy. Throughout pharmacy school, he worked at Argenta Drug in North Little Rock, where he met his future wife.

Political Experience

Achor was first elected to the Arkansas House in 2022. In the Republican primary that April, he defeated opponent Wes Booker. He then won the general election in November 2022 with 57 percent of the vote, succeeding Joe Cloud, and assumed office in 2023.

He is currently serving his second term in the Arkansas House. For the 95th General Assembly, Achor serves on the House Revenue and Taxation Committee and the House Insurance and Commerce Committee. He is also running for Arkansas State Senate in 2026.
