Biography
Senator Brady Brammer
Brady Brammer is a Republican serving in the Utah State Senate, representing District 21, which includes parts of Highland, Alpine, Cedar Hills, Lehi, American Fork, and Pleasant Grove. He assumed office on January 1, 2025, succeeding Mike Kennedy, with his current term ending January 1, 2027. Previously, he represented District 27 and later District 54 in the Utah House of Representatives, first elected in 2018. As an attorney and partner at Brammer Ranck, he specializes in business litigation and law, and has represented cities, school districts, businesses, and individuals in governmental legal matters. He lives in Highland with his family and focuses on policies strengthening families, improving opportunity, and promoting responsible economic growth. Notable committee assignments include Senate Revenue and Taxation and Senate Judiciary, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice.
Education and Political Experience
Brammer earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies, a Juris Doctor, and a Master of Public Administration from Brigham Young University. He served over five years on the Highland City Planning Commission, addressing zoning and development. As a former adjunct professor at BYU, he taught ethics in the MPA program and business law in the Accounting program. He was a shareholder at Spaulding Law and a board member for The Great Outdoors Fund, providing legal insight for outdoor recreation and conservation. Additional affiliations include the Utah State Bar and INNS of Court.
