Biography
Brad Raffensperger is a Republican who serves as the Secretary of State of Georgia, a statewide position he has held since January 2019 after winning election in 2018 and re-election in 2022. Previously, he represented District 50 in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2015 to 2019 and served on the Johns Creek City Council from 2011 to 2015. A resident of Johns Creek, he is an engineer, business owner, and CEO of Tendon Systems, LLC, specializing in contracting and engineering design; he is a registered professional engineer in over 25 states and a licensed general contractor in 10 states. Married to Tricia for over 35 years, they have three adult sons, a grandson, and a granddaughter. Notable achievements include opposing tax hikes, introducing a 1 mill property tax cut, and legislation against illicit massage establishments and human trafficking during his city council tenure.
