Biography
Brad Hudson is a Republican state senator representing Missouri's 33rd District, which includes counties such as Douglas, Howell, Ozark, Shannon, Stone, Taney, and Texas. A lifelong resident of southern Missouri, he grew up on his family's small farm near Cape Fair, where he resides with his wife Carissa and their two children, Bethany and Daniel. He serves as pastor at Blessing Heights Worship Center and took office in the Senate on January 8, 2025, after being first elected in 2024. Previously, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2019 to 2025 and as Stone County Assessor from 2009 to 2018.
Notable achievements include leading efforts on the SAFE Act to restrict transgender treatments for minors, advocating for pro-life policies with endorsement from Missouri Right to Life, maintaining a 100% pro-Second Amendment stance with an A rating from the NRA, opposing the 2021 gas tax increase, sponsoring legislation to increase penalties for illegal immigrants, and pushing reforms to Missouri's initiative petition process. He is also involved in community service as a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Table Rock Lake, past president of the Southwest Missouri Assessors Association, and former coordinator for Stone County's National Day of Prayer.
