Biography
Brad Hawkins is a Republican politician born on November 16, 1975, who currently serves as Chelan County Commissioner for District 3, elected in November 2024. He previously represented Washington's 12th Legislative District as a State Representative from 2013 to 2017 and as a State Senator from 2017 to 2025. Raised in Chelan County, he worked for 18 years at Douglas PUD focusing on hydroelectric relicensing, compliance, and government relations; he is married to Shawna since 2002 and has two sons, Luke and Tyler. His father, Buell Hawkins, also served as Chelan County Commissioner for District 3 from 2001 to 2008.
Education and Political Experience
Education: Attended Wenatchee High School; earned a Bachelor’s Degree with honors from Central Washington University; holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration from George Washington University.
Political Experience: North Central ESD Board ; Eastmont School Board ; Washington State House ; Washington State Senate ; Chelan County Commissioner .
