Biography
Bradley J. Fritts is a Republican state representative for Illinois' 74th District, serving since January 2023 after being elected in November 2022. Born on January 8, 2000, he is a lifelong Illinoisan born and raised in Dixon, where he currently lives and works on his family farm. He is an active member of St. Patrick’s Church in Dixon and a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Fritts volunteers in the community with Meals on Wheels, the food pantry, and Buddy Bags. He advocates for better schools and infrastructure, lower taxes, government accountability, fiscal responsibility, and support for law enforcement and first responders. Agriculture is a key focus, reflecting his farming background and the industry's importance in Illinois.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Newman Central Catholic High School in Sterling, IL, in 2018. Earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Consumer Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2021.
- Political Experience: This is his first elected office as a member of the Illinois General Assembly, representing the 74th District since January 2023. When not serving in Springfield, he works as a substitute teacher to address Illinois' teacher shortage.
